The Stats: 164 times our story has been shared on Facebook. 398 people have been reached on Facebook with our postings. $4,250 in donated funds thus far. There are other donations rolling in, but honestly I haven't calculated them yet since they are offline donations. We've had several meals dropped off. Our little guys, Sarah and Daniel have been watched at least a dozen times by caring people. How many prayers? I can't tell. I do know though we feel truly supported.

Update: Today Elisa had another biopsy. This one was in her nasal passage. Since all of the cancer seems to be focused on her right side this nasal passage is strange. It's on the LEFT side. We are hoping that there is an infection, or even hoping it's the same Lung cancer which is just acting unusual. The ENT doctor felt that Lung cancer spreading to the location where it was biopsied is rare. Our prayer right now is that this is NOT another type of cancer. If it's the same cancer, the plans for immunotherapy will continue onward. If it is not the same cancer, we'll have to see what all of the doctors think. Results will probably be delayed as the labs are overworked with everyone trying to beat the end of year insurance benefits. Ultimately, if nothing comes back the ENT doctor wants to do a more invasive scope to biopsy to determine what is going on. That will happen if necessary on January 22nd.

Donations and accountability:

The van is practically done. Brakes are really the last thing to be done before I feel like it's completely ready. It's working great, but we've had several costly repairs to get it prepared. While some money from donations have gone towards this, we have received other funds which weren't included in the Go Fund Me drive.

Housekeeping: We have met with our previous housekeeper. She has done a great job for us in the past. The good news, she'll be able to help. The bad news, she's only available one day a week for us. This is where the Go Fund Me funds will start being spent. It's amazing how much doesn't get done now that Elisa must rest. More to come on this as it develops.

Insurance Deductible: I feel like we're practically there. Even though we're above our $4,000 mark listed on Go Fund Me, some of the funds have already been used for the before mentioned van. Go Fund Me also takes 4.5% of all donations (offline donations are not charged a fee).

Coming soon! I just made a withdrawal of funds from Go Fund Me. This will be used for some organic food shopping. The brakes on the van will be another item. Then a majority of the funds will be saved for January's deductibles.

The last words:

I have some great news. OSU has forgiven our debt from the past which has been in collections. This is very important. OSU is the place of treatment for Elisa. So no funds raised will go towards any past due bills. OSU is also going to provide some assistance with her current treatments. This is great! We will be able to extend any donations further now. Now for the last words:

Thank you!

@Aloyse - Jeri was great back in the day. I was extremely grateful for the generosity of those who paid for her services. I love the fact we'll be able to get help for Elisa, hate the fact that it's practically a necessity at this point

I'm so pleased you're getting the same housekeeper. She was a wonderful woman, and when your dear friend hired her for you back then, she did so much more, seeing all Elisa had to deal with at that time. I don't remember if one of the kids had surgery, or if it was when Elisa was recovering from her operation, but she was so caring. I'm happy she will be available when you need her. So this is fantastic news!
