Hi all,
Anthony here. Elisa has been posting just about every blog recently, and I thought I would just throw a blog out to touch base.
This week is heavy with medical appointments, and I need to say I'm supremely grateful for my parents. My Dad is coming over a few days this week, and helping out with Sarah and Daniel.
Here is our prayer requests: Elisa had her PET Scan today. As some of you may know, the insurance company denied her this scan a few weeks ago. I am grateful to say, she just completed the scan. This scan is very important since it is one of the few ways we can generally track the progression/regression of her cancer. Please pray for the complete removal of cancer. Elisa has been so faithful, and strong. At church we have our prayer warriors pulling out all the stops with prayer sessions (which include healing prayers). Please keep praying, sending positive thoughts, and continued love for Elisa. This is the best thing we can ask for.
I would also like to thank our community for the meals, and laundry assistance. This has been tremendously helpful!
Another couple exciting things have happened and are about to happen. I am grateful to say our van problems are over! I say this because we finally decided to stop dumping money into the money pit, and sell it. It was to the point where we didn't want to sell it to an individual. We sold it to a mechanic that can give it the second life it needs. Due to the generosity of many donations, and a specific generous family members, we were able to get a almost new vehicle with a warranty! This is super significant. Our trips to Cincinnati, and Elisa's appointments alone was enough for us to make this move. The van would break down, wouldn't start, etc. and our fear was having Elisa and/or the kids on the side of the road somewhere. The upcoming event is we're getting ready to buy a La-Z-boy chair for our living room. This will help Elisa spend more time in our living area instead of upstairs. We just received a 50% off discount coupon, and assistance from my company to keep the purchase costs significantly down. We could not be more grateful.
I'm not sure when we'll post again. This week is pretty booked up. We will keep you all in the loop as we can. Thanks again for all the love, prayers, and support!
